The return on investment you want

Even among the most connected, consumers are typically learning about new products and services offline. Specific to the dental industry, consumers prefer direct mail communications three times more than email, the second most popular direct marketing tool.

In a recent study by Target Marketing, direct mail was the channel cited most by business-to-consumer direct-response marketers as delivering the strongest return on investment for customer acquisition and retention.

And the stats just keep rolling in, pointing to the fact that direct mail is working better than most other marketing options. Nearly 90% of consumers say they want to receive sales and promotions via direct mail. Direct mail is the only channel where an unsolicited message isn’t viewed as inappropriate by consumers.

At Patient News, we’ve always supported a multi-channel approach; no single channel is the be-all. Across channel marketing plan with a focus on both acquisition and retention will ensure that you don’t neglect a portion of your prospect or client base.

Dr. Kirby Hart operates Hartford Family Dentistry in Hartford, AL. A client since 2010, they incorporated a Patient News patient newsletter into their marketing mix. They have seen a 30% increase in practice revenue and, more than that, they have had tremendous patient response and have developed what they feel is a firmer grasp on their patient relations. They’re receiving more positive feedback and excitement about their practice from both patients and their team.

Dr. Raed Younes operates Younes Dental Care in Trenton, ON. They started with a Patient News patient (of record) newsletter in 2006 and launched an acquisition direct marketing newsletter/postcard campaign in 2011. They’ve seen very positive results and a lot of new patients due to their customized acquisition efforts.

In our last client survey, 85% indicated that they are in a growth stage (in an industry that’s down overall), but at Patient News that does not mean we are sitting still. We continue to develop and test new products and services … so if you have a current business issue, please reach out to your Account Manager at 888.377.2404 to brainstorm on some of the new ways we can help you overcome these challenges, easily and efficiently.

We’re proud to be your dental direct marketing partner.
