CONTRIBUTION AT THE TEAM & CORPORATE LEVEL
At Patient News we are committed to giving back where we can. We believe in education, oral health, and supporting our communities. We like to stay connected with what's happening in our community, in the dental industry, the direct marketing field, and with our clients, your patients, and our team.

Patient News Cares

We support various staff driven initiatives from food drives, to cancer walks to heart and stroke benefits. We've sponsored several dental missions, contributing thousands of dollars to the wellbeing of families in Honduras and through Climb for a Cause. We're proud of our support of Haliburton's Volunteer Dental Outreach clinic. They assist folks who have neglected their oral health and don't have the funds to afford regular dentistry. For many years, Patient News has contributed to the AACD's Give Back a Smile to help restore smiles of victims of domestic violence.

The team at Patient News is proud of our involvement with the village of Kamengo, Uganda. We assisted them by setting up 9 computer classrooms, kicking off a water project to replace dilapidated facilities, initiating solar lights (to replace dangerous oil lanterns allowing kids to read and learn at night), as well as supporting much needed medical and dental treatment.

Environmental Commitment

Your visible eco-activities will set your practice apart. The customized flexibility of our campaigns allows you to educate patients and prospects about your green approach.

Our libraries cover a vast array of topics including amalgam disposal, sterilization and many more interesting themes. Print campaigns feature FSC certified paper products, vegetable based inks and environmentally sound production processes.

And going green ... will usually save you money!

Patient News Green Team

Going Green

Our GREEN Team goes beyond our comprehensive reduce/reuse/recycle/ program and impacts all aspects of our internal and external processes.

Employees are encouraged to submit their ideas, and we monitor trends and best practices for more environmentally friendly business practices. One of our core values is dedicated to the environment, and each year Patient News plants approximately 4,000-5,000 trees, replacing more than we consume.

FSC Certified

FSC® CERTIFICATION – Patient News is proud to offer FSC certified products. We can do this because we have successfully completed the rigorous certification process by the Forest Stewardship Council®, meeting their scrupulous international standards.

This means that we support responsible environmental practices to trace the chain of custody of the paper we use from the original forest site through every single step to consumer point-of-purchase. “Our clients are helping to make a measurable contribution to protecting our forests, wildlife, and water. We are proud that they can benefit from value-added integrity and product quality.

FSC LogoThe FSC logo on every client newsletter and postcard can only create a stronger reputation and brand image with their patients and their communities as well,” says Karen Galley, President. All of the paper we use at Patient News is certified to ensure forestry is practiced in an environmentally responsible, socially beneficial, and economically viable way. We also recycle our printing plates, buy in bulk to reduce packaging waste and clean with environmentally friendly products.

By agreeing to purchase only FSC-certified paper and other products, Patient News has guaranteed its employees and community, as well as clients, that we are using paper products purchased only from organizations that are equally committed to responsible forest management.
